Nurse Anne Russell, who often writes for Asthma, Allergies and Children (one of my most favorite blogs), reached out to the church that Natalie Giorgi’s family attends. This is what Anne wrote in an email today, “I have spoken to a member of the church Natalie’s family attends and they have offered to receive cards and/or letters of condolence for the Giorgi family. They believe it would greatly help this family to know that members of the food allergy community are supporting them at this very difficult time of anguish and grief.
The church plans to then distribute cards/letters to Natalie’s family at a time they discern to be appropriate. They also specifically asked for prayers on behalf of Natalie’s family, friends and classmates. This church parish is rallying to closely support the family of what they described to me as a “darling girl” and “wonderful family”.
Thank you Anne for your great compassion and assistance to help our community find a way to support Natalie’s family. This event has simply stunned and shocked our food allergy community.
Condolence cards/letters can be mailed to:

To the Giorgi Family,
We are so saddened, we send you all our prayers, and we also send you our thanks for allowing this story to be made public. Our daughter, also named Natalie, who also loves to read and go to Disney suffers an off-the charts IGE score for her peanut allergy, your story has helped us educate others. Thank you for giving the world your Natalie, and we hope that sweet memories may help bring you peace. The Family of Natalie Simonitsch
