Food Allergy Education: Impressive One Stop

You are here: Home / Educaton / Food Allergy Education: Impressive One Stop

July 18, 2013 By //  by Caroline Moassessi 2 Comments

Yesterday, Dana from Epi-Essentials shared with us about Allergy Home!  I’ve written in the past about Allergy Home, which is a website created by two physicians, John Lee and Michael Pistiner  many moons ago.  I confess to not realizing their website has been updated and is full of fresh new information.  What truly caught my eye yesterday was this one very comprehensive link: School Food Allergy Education Table: Content Tailored to Specific Groups.  This site has dramatically changed and is much more user friendly and interactive –good job Allergy Home!

The School Food Allergy Program KitThe School Food Allergy Program kit what we shared last year with our school district, but I’m pleased to also share the Allergy Home website this year too!

What struck me about the School Food Allergy Education Table is that it is a chart that addresses food allergy management for elementary, middle and high school students, parents and school staff.  The chart compares the needs of the various  groups in a table regarding: Basic facts/school rules, prevention, preparedness and social/emotional by providing links on the different topics, such as hand washing, drop off parties and play dates.  I was pretty impressed with this website and thought you all might be interested in taking a look since so many of us are gearing up for Back-to-School!  Can I just whine one more moment about school starting up again?  I LOVE summer!

Check it out if you are getting ready for Back-to-School:     School Food Allergy Education Table: Content Tailored to Specific Groups

As always, before you change your methods for managing your health or your child’s talk to your physician.  Everyone’s health condition and disease management are individual to everyone’s personal needs.
