Happy Monday! Today’s post is truly an update to Friday’s post thanks to additional information posted from Lynda Mitchell, Senior Director of Allergy and Asthma Foundation of America , which is now an arm of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA(AAFA). Lynda shared in the comment section in Friday’s Post, “Guess How Many Food Allergen Recalls”? the fact that the Federal Drug Administration (FDA)) also posts food allergen recalls of items that are not regulated by the USDA .

Therefore to get a comprehensive list, it might be time effective to regularly visit USDA, which includes the KFA’s Food Allergy Recall List and USDA list recall list (two for the price of one visit). I used to receive the USDA email alerts and I even blogged about it and then somehow without thinking, I moved over the FDA’s list. Thankfully, Lynda reminded us of the KFA website and then went one step farther to share that the Lynda Mitchell offers an updated list containing the latest recalls from both organizations! This list simply fell right off my radar.
