Ridiculously Adorable Epi Pen Holders

You are here: Home / EPI / Ridiculously Adorable Epi Pen Holders

May 22, 2013 By //  by Caroline Moassessi 8 Comments

I still can’t figure out how I missed these spunky Epi Pen® Auto-injector holder holders?  I found them at the Epi Pen® Auto-injector holder.  They are made by a very lovely food allergy Mom, Ann, who works full-time and has been sewing for the past two years.  Instead of spending sleepless nights worrying about food allergies, she decided to help make it easier for kids to wear their  medications and to actually love wearing them!  I blogged about Ann earlier this week in my post, “Profound Food Allergy Statement of the Week”.   Alert Wear products is something that I file away in my head under the category of Food Allergy Solutions!

She is also producing products that fit the Epi Pen® Auto-injector holder too!  I can’t remember how I stumbled upon Alert Wear styles , but I’m happy I did. Ann was wonderful when I emailed to ask if I could use her images on blog post.  She seems like the kind of lady I would really enjoy hanging out with!

Besides, her personality, I really enjoyed the lively styles full of color and life.  Even though I am normally a fan of the traditional red medical bags, I’m drawn to carriers that are interesting and attractive.  The bottom line is that if we visually enjoy something then we are more apt to use it!  Etsy shop are fun looking but look sturdy.

I am a big supporter of cottage industry or buying local, so I have a small bias for anything purchased from an Epi Pen® Auto-injector holderto be honest. The epinephrine holders be customized with emergency contact information sewn inside as well..

Or Ann can create a custom design with initials or names.  I learned that she uses duck canvas, which I am fully not sure of what kind of canvas that is but is sounds serious, combined with spandex swim suit fabric to form around medications and the belts are made of elastic with parachute buckles.  I don’t think she is kidding around when she said she doesn’t sleep!  I’m on the market for a Epi Pen® Auto-injector holder for my daughter, since recently received for her 10th birthday, her first gorgeous big girl purse that just so happened to be an Epi Pen holder from Epi Essentials (I’m including them in my food allergy graduation gift ideas blog next week) and needs a carrier for playground at school.

What type of Epinephrine holder does you or your child use?  Do you even use a carrier?  Can you share your suggestions in the comment section below!?!?

I love Ann’s colorful clever epi carries! So cute! Thanks for sharing.
My boys wear the 2-epi ankle holder. This way they can still have it with them at all times and not have to store it in the gym (locker) during PE. They even ran with it during cross country. 🙂 I’m curious if Ann makes anything similar to this. Since Scott is 17 and Matt 15 they like the holder simple in design and black.

Thank you Caroline for all the great shout outs! 😉
Dana – My son is 11 but, ready for simple and black and small. His epi case hides nicely under clothes but, now that AuviQ is finally out, he will be carrying that in much smaller case. https://www.etsy.com/listing/150661155/custom-inhaler-auvi-q-medicine-cases?ref=shop_home_active I am working on a new pattern for an arm band that is similar. Hope that helps!

Have you ever seen something and thought, why didn’t I think of that? That is just what I thought when I saw these lovely holders. I have sewn all my life and am very crafty but being has taken all of my focus for so long.
Congratulations to her. Duck Canvas is a very nice and sturdy fabric. I will pass this information along.

      Kathryn,
Now I fully understand duck canvas. Sounds like you and Ann could chat!? Maybe will be inspired to sew some Christmas gifts?

Lindsey, I KNOW!!!! I want the owls. I was thinking of order the owls for my lipsticks or something that I can rationalize.
