Wicked Good Ice Cream Sauce w/Sun Cups®

gratefulfoodie-icecreamnutfree1Your guests will be amazed that this scrumptious, rich and decadent Nut Free Dark Chocolate Ice Cream Sauce is made with only two ingredients and one is our beloved Dark Chocolate Sun Cups®!  Yes…two.  I made these gluten-egg-soy-corn-peanut and tree nut free ice cream sundaes for my family.  My son, the culinary snob, said, “wow–these are surprisingly good” after he turned up his nose at my comment about using only two ingredients.  He didn’t realize that the good folk over at SunCups® have done all the hard work!  My part is all about melting their good work.
Decadent Dark Chocolate and Vanilla Sundaes:

  • Dark Chocolate Ice Cream Sauce Recipe made with Sun Cups® (recipe below)
  • Allergen Safe Ice Cream (we enjoy Strauss Family Creamery here on the West Coast)
  • India Tree Sprinkles

Double the sauce recipe if you have a crowd and then sit back and enjoy the complex flavors of this easy to make treat.
Over the next few weeks I will be bringing my love of SunCups® to life in more divine recipes that make all of us look like we all gods of the kitchen.  Keep your eyes out for more fun recipes.
Have fun dazzling folks with this simple, yet elegant recipe.  This is my go-to when I am short on time and need a special dessert.
Disclaimer:Sun Cups®is reading this post right now with you.  They haven’t got a clue of my love of this recipe.  I did score a great price for mySun Cups® at my local Natural Grocer’s store too and have ordered a dozen more!

Now if only I could get SunCups to finally come out with those dairy-free goodies, then I could crash your ice cream party 🙂

      Hi Alisa –
This is Kate, the Community + Brand Manager for Sun Cups. I just wanted to let you know we’re working on a dairy-free version of our Dark Chocolate Sun Cups! We are working hard to get it launched by year’s end – we really appreciate your patience with this! Removing dairy from our chocolates while maintaining the awesomely delicious taste and putting in protocols to ensure safety is not easy. Our focus is on doing it right so we’re being super deliberate and focused. Thank you for hanging in there with us!
