Recently, pregnant Sarah Harkins was stung by a wasp and suffered an aneurism and died. The video below explains the tragedy and how life takes such unexpected turns. The lesson here to our friends with bee sting and insect allergies. Even though these allergies are not like food allergies, where we must stay vigilant indoors, outdoors, morning and night, they are just as deadly. I hope and pray for peace for Sarah’s young family who lives have been changed forever. I hope and pray everyone who has an insect allergy learn from this lesson and carry their epinephrine auto-injectors
I can’t even begin to count on my fingers how many times I’ve seen folks who have insect allergies not carry their epinephrine auto-injectors since they believe there will be no bees present. Or worse yet, they keep their injectors in the car! Please support your friends with insect allergies and help them avoid dangerous situations.
Our thoughts are prayers are with Sarah’s family today.

Amazing that you should post this so soon after my 24 year old son was stung while riding his motorcycle last week, He ended up in the ER from his allergic reaction but still did not get his EPI pen prescription filled. We talked about it a few days ago when we got back from vacation and I told him to keep it on him, not stored away.

Patty–no way! Did he fill the prescription yet? Do you have the EpiPen coupon for the zero copay offer? Here is the link: https://www.epipen.com/en/copay-offer. Been thinking about you lately too! I will call!
