As a fan of a good laugh, I love Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, but who showed up on the show unexpectedly? Mike Tringale, senior VP over at my beloved Allergy and Asthma Foundation of America (AAFA) to help out Jon Stewart get clear about “the worst allergy season ever”. I don’t want to give away any funny moments, so you’ll just have to watch! But Mike, who are the awkardly social nerds in your office you mention?
Bottom line: We need a plan to deal with pollen and allergies and thank goodness for groups like AAFA, who are are on it.
Disclaimer: I’ve been a huge fan of AAFA for about twelve years now and it only gets worse. Congratulations to Heidi Bayer (a.k.a. Brooklyn Food Allergy Mom) for her leadership on the AAFA board of directors (we’re talking chair).

One of the hardest things I find about managing both life threatening food allergies and asthma is talking to others. I hate to be the one that might be perceived as demanding, pushing or for asking too much. What I now know, fourteen years later, is that honest, clear information presented with kindness works!..
