The Allergen Spray That Really Helped with the Puppy

You are here: Home / Asthma Solutions / The Allergen Spray That Really Helped with the Puppy

February 10, 2017 By //  by Caroline Moassessi Leave a Comment

Cooper PuppyFirst of all, why didn’t anyone stop us from getting a puppy as our first dog? I’m back to being pee’d on, cleaning up poop and just recently, I had to ice the dog’s balls. Well, the spot where they were removed from actually. Nevertheless, icing those parts are not included in my bucket list of things to do in life. An adorable Aussiedoodle named Cooper, joined our family last October. He was suppose to be around 30ish pounds, but he just keeps growing and growing. At seven months, he is closer to 45 lbs. Due our dog allergies, heading to a shelter was out of the question as we can barely handle the Vet’s office. Some breeds just ignite sneezing and asthma attacks. We finally figured out that the Aussiedoodle breed was tolerable with our allergies.
We take extra steps to keep our dog allergies in check. We bathe Cooper weekly, wipe his paws and sometimes his coat when he comes in from outside (to keep pollens and allergens outside), wash his blankets every few days and use a spray called Allergy Asthma Allergen Spray. I am the lucky girl who is the Product Editor for Allergic Living Magazine. Several months ago while researching cleaning products I stumbled upon the Allergy Asthma Clean website. A phone call, some data exchange and a few samples had me hooked! We happily featured the Multi-Purpose spray. BUT, I was hooked.

Not only was the founder, Savanna, was interesting to speak to, I learned a near fatal asthma attacked inspired her line of natural cleansers, stain and odor removers. She shares her story online, but I have to say, her dad sounds like a pretty great man.
I even  bought and packed a few bottles in my son’s suitcase as he headed off to college. One incredible bonus is that your products are shipped without water! You add your own water. Therefore the packing is lightweight and easy to pack!
The big surprise to our family was the Allergen Spray. The spray breaks down dust mite, pet dander and cockroach allergens and is made from minerals. I tried the allergen spray for grins, not expecting too much since I believe my family has the market cornered on dog allergies. I used it for one week straight. I sprayed it twice daily on surfaces that were able to handle a little moisture, the floor, my daughter’s bedroom, where Cooper sleeps, the rug, couch, etc.
I stopped spraying it out of forgetfulness and my daughter’s asthma started kicking in. I thought, no way, that was a coincidence (I did not confess to my daughter Leila). I started spraying again for another week and then consciously stopped, without saying a word to Leila. Her allergies and asthma kicked back up. I did this one more time before she asked me if I can stop using the spray. I confessed and then she  asked if I could stop messing with her health please halt the experiment.  I hate the child is right.
I know that each environment, person and dog breed create a unique combination. So what might have worked in my home, may not work in yours or vise-versa. I felt compelled to share our special “find” in case it might work for you. I had emailed Savanna when her website was acting up for a few hours and I could not place my next order. I told that I was going to write a blog and how my pals were interested in hearing more about the spray. She offered a special discount to my readers since we are all learning how to live successfully in our allergic lives Use code allergicliving at check out to receive a 15% discount. That was very sweet of Savanna!
Who ever thought I would own a dog and be thrilled about taking him outside to pee at 6am? Animals sure have some sort of magical power over us! I think it is how they wake up happy and excited to see what the day holds, is what I enjoy seeing before the sun rises.
Disclaimer: Savanna or Allergy Asthma Clean did not ask me, paid me or even begged me to post, become a fan or to say nice things about them. I was fortunate enough to sample their products and am thrilled to share my experience. Before changing your health care protocol, check in with your physician to make sure you making the best and safest choice possible for you or your family. My goal is share what might be a good find for someone out in our allergic world.
