Thanks Allergy Eats! Top Allergy Friendly Chains

You are here: Home / Current Blog Post / Thanks Allergy Eats! Top Allergy Friendly Chains

March 10, 2016 By //  by Caroline Moassessi 2 Comments

where to eat = GratefulfoodieI have been wickedly biased towards Allergy Eats for years now as a user of their app and website: those roots grow deeper. I wanted to make sure everyone saw the new list that came out yesterday: 2016 List of Top 10 Allergy Friendly Restaurant Chains. What makes this list an honest offering is that the restaurants rankings are based diner rankings from the Allergy Eats App. You’ll find two categories, one large (50+ restaurants) and small (less than 50).
If you download and use the Allergy Eats App, please be sure to add your reviews. This helps improve the app for the rest of us!
Not only do I enjoy using the Allergy Eats tools, I believe it is important to recognize businesses when they are doing a good job in assisting clients with food allergies. In my world, assisting does not always translate into getting things my way. Often, I adore a restaurant who will be honest and share their concerns of not being able to meet the needs of my family. I want to know if someone feels uncomfortable. I want to enjoy my dinner without worry. If this is the situation, then I’ll return with hubby date time.
I hope you check out the Allergy Eats list, but as always, speak to the waiter, manager or person of authority at each and every location. Often restaurants in different locations across the country don’t have the same menu or access to the same items. McDonald’s in Hawaii offers different foods that McDonald’s on the mainland. Also, restaurants substitute ingredients all the time when an item is not available, therefore doubling checking at the table is a must!

Bravo Allergy Eats for providing us with more resources!

disclaimer: Allergy Eats is an advertising on this site and I adore their work and will cheer them on, advertising or not. Nor was I paid to write this post. Paul Antico could be doing so many other things with his talent, but he chooses to support our community in a foodie kind of way.  Thanks Paul!

Tools to consider for Eating Out

Eating out with Food Allergies can be quite challenging. For my family, we view eating out as a risk and we use a variety of tools to help us make educated choices.  Most importantly, if we get a gut feeling something isn’t right, we leave or my children don’t eat the item and we find safe options elsewhere...Eating out Tips - Know before you Go
