Bravo and loud applause to Lynda Mitchell and her team at Kids with Food Allergies – A Division of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America this morning! Nice job on being recognized as the TOP RATED NONPROFIT of 2014 by Great Nonprofits – the leading provider of user reviews of nonprofits. What makes this honor so special is the award is based on the large number of reviews from volunteers, partners and donors. Basically, everyone who benefits or works with KFA. This is a big deal since we all know that many businesses can do a good job in meeting their goals and missions—but can they do with it with grace, style and engagement that leave their “clients” feeling a part of something bigger? This is what KFA has accomplished! I have no choice to but celebrate their success today!
Hum, should it be a mimosa? Cybele’s Free to Eat Cookies with coffee……?
Disclaimer: I’m wildly biased and have been an AAFA and KFA fan for a very long time. I was not asked or paid to post about this prestigious award. I’m also looking for a reason go buy cookies.
I am very proud of KFA and their hard work in our community that started on line and over the years have emerged as a great leader and support in our food allergy world. I was very happy when they joined the AAFA family since my AAPE group is an affiliated support group, AAFA provided me, over eleven years ago, with guidelines, down to how to set up a lecture room on how to run a support group. The most important part of their guidance was signing an oath of ethics and standards. To this day, this oath remains a very important guidepost for our group.
