Spread Allergy and Asthma Info in Spanish!

You are here: Home / Advocacy / Spread Allergy and Asthma Info in Spanish!

September 24, 2014 By //  by Caroline Moassessi 1 Comment

BIG bravo to the Allergy and Asthma Foundation of America for providing a website full of information about allergies, food allergies and asthma all in Spanish: AAFA Spanish Translated Website!   Consider sharing this link with your school nurses, coaches, support group members, etc.  What tickled me was to see access to my most favorite and coveted workbooks in Spanish, “You can Control Asthma™” and “Asthma Basics Handbook for Parents” Workbooks!  I received a few copies of these and dole them out as if they are gold.  It’s really, really hard to find good materials in Spanish!  You can even discover advocacy information to learn more about how to get involved – all in Spanish.  Actually, while cleaning out my support group storage the other day, I discovered a few extra and shared them with my local American Lung Association office since I know they’ll soon be receiving asthma calls due to poor air quality from wild fires and cold season coming upon us.

Check out the website: AAFA Spanish Translated Website!

Since we’re talking about AAFA today, I thought I would mention that they are hosting a contest the Clean up and Win Contest from Sept 18th through October 16th.  Enter to win an Asthma and Allergy Certified  Dyson D65 vacuum.   Click on this link and complete the form on facebook.  I just love contests and can never pass them up.

Happy Wednesday!

Please note: AAFA did not request me to share today’s blog post information.  My goal is to share items that my readers might find valuable or of interest.

Tools to consider for Eating Out

Eating out with Food Allergies can be quite challenging. For my family, we view eating out as a risk and we use a variety of tools to help us make educated choices.  Most importantly, if we get a gut feeling something isn’t right, we leave or my children don’t eat the item and we find safe options elsewhere...Eating out Tips - Know before you Go
