So Sour So Good Egg Shaped Jelly Beans

Gimbals Gigantic Easter Sour Gourmet Jelly BeansWhen the generous box containing one lovely bag of Gimbals Gigantic Easter Sour Gourmet Jelly Beans arrived, I threatened my children, ” NOBODY TOUCH THESE,” I growled. I mostly tried to scare them off so I could get a nice picture of the bag before we ate them. Unfortunately, I lacked the backbone needed to follow my own rule and tore the bag open when no one was looking. It was worth it. The Jelly Beans were large and frightfully flavorful. Gimbal’s Fine Candies has always been a favorite when it comes to strong flavor. I remember the day when my family discovered Gimbal’s Jelly Beans were free of the Top Eight Allergens. We poured them out onto a plate and used the flavor guide on the back of the bag to hunt down the different varieties. Then we tried combining flavors to create new explosions in our mouth.
Clearly, we were a family with too much time on our hands, but had a blast that day and it remains a fond memory of discovering Top Eight Allergen free candy. So of course when Gimbal’s sent me a bag of this Easter Treat I was thrilled. Even more exciting to someone like me is that I am Greek Orthodox, which means we celebrate Easter according to the Julian calendar, so our Easter is later this year, which means I still have plenty of time to load up on the Easter candy that I already ate.
Needless to say, these Sour Jelly Beans are wonderful and should not be consumed only at Easter, the shapes are darling and tomorrow we’re baking cupcakes and will use the shapes as petals for flowers! I can’t wait to post those pictures.
Disclaimer: Gimbal’s send me that fantastic bag of Jelly Beans and did not pay me or ask me to write about it. I’m sharing since I feel these Jelly Beans are true winners and just fun.
