What's Your AQ? Skyping with Jerome Bettis

You are here: Home / Advocacy / What's Your AQ? Skyping with Jerome Bettis

July 2, 2014 By //  by Caroline Moassessi Leave a Comment

…and my good pal, 504 expert, Laurel Francouer of Green Laurel Documents.  I had the extreme honor of a Skype Interview with Football Legend Jerome Bettis (aka, The Bus) and Laurel (aka my sister from another mister) regarding the What’s Your AQ? Quiz.  The anaphylaxis quotient quiz, (get it now?...AQ), is an allergy and anaphylaxis advocacy and education tool developed by Sanofi®, the makers of Auvi-Q®.   Warning, below is the first of several fun and down home interviews/videos created from my interview.  I will cover valuable and pragmatic topics, such as dating with food allergies (you don’t want to miss Jerome’s advice on that subject), finding peace of mind with anaphylaxis, educating others and more, over the next few weeks.
disclaimer: Sanofi® did not pay me or ask that I write positive things about this interview or the What’s Your AQ? Quiz.  I am sharing since I believe, all the way down to my bones, that this quiz should be taken by all!  I apologize for my “homespun” quality…I am learning about Skype and videos.  Hopefully soon, I’ll be tearing up the video scene!

Jerome Bettis discussing his Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Diagnosis…

p.s.  Next week, you’ll hear Laurel discuss her adult onset food allergy to peanuts that appeared by surprise!
I hope you enjoyed getting to know Jerome a little better and will go take the What’s Your AQ? Quiz today.  I liked this tool so much, that when I meet with my school district next week, I will request that all school nurses and teachers take this quiz. We’ve come a long way, but we have the rest of the anaphylaxis mountain left to climb.  If you already don’t know Laurel, you’ll get to know her soon via these videos and she is will be speaking at the Food Allergy Bloggers Conference in September.  Even though I am seriously biased, she is brilliant, funny and is not to be messed with (did I mention that she is a wickedly brilliant lawyer too)?  Also, visit the Auvi-Q® website to learn more about their product, coupons, prescribing information and to take the What’s Your AQ? Quiz

Consider sharing the What’s Your AQ? Quiz. Quiz with teachers, friends, family, caregivers and anyone within your community who might be in contact with someone managing life threatening food allergies and anaphylaxis.

Tools to consider for Eating Out

Eating out with Food Allergies can be quite challenging. For my family, we view eating out as a risk and we use a variety of tools to help us make educated choices.  Most importantly, if we get a gut feeling something isn’t right, we leave or my children don’t eat the item and we find safe options elsewhere...Eating out Tips - Know before you Go
