Send good Joo-Joo on Monday! MILK CHALLENGE

You are here: Home / Uncategorized / Send good Joo-Joo on Monday! MILK CHALLENGE

July 13, 2014 By //  by Caroline Moassessi 10 Comments

On Monday morning, at 9am PDT my son has his uncooked MILK CHALLENGE!  Oh my.  This is the final step in his journey to a life that will allow dairy.  Send us all the good thoughts, prayers and joo-joo you have!  I usally am too anxious to share about our food challenges, but I realized that how blessed and lucky I am to be part of such a large, loving well wishing food allergy community.  I’m crazy to not ask for prayers and good thoughts, right?  We enjoy  Vegan baking best, but I would love for my son to have one more item checked off the “this might kill me list”.

I will post the results when the test is over!  I really stress during food challenges and pretty much spend my time talking my self off of the ledge.  I don’t like my children seeing or feeling my stress, so I usually delete emails and type in a journal on my iPad as I talk to myself.  Silly right?  I’ve been through so many food challenges one would think I would have a better gripe, but….nooooooooo.  They are fresh each time.  Although, he has baked his baked dairy and cheese challenge and eats pizza openly and freely, so the odds are in his favor.

Hope to report good news later today!

    Caroline,
I am sending you and your son all the love, prayers and well wishes that one person can. Based on what he is able to tolerate already, I have faith that he will pass. I’ll be thinking of you today.
    Love,
    Gina

Hi Caroline, My fingers are crossed! Will be thinking about you all and eager to hear how it goes. We’re having our first baked (powdered) milk challenge in a few weeks. Food challenges give me such a sense of hope and progress, but at the same time, they make me so very nervous and worried. Sending positive thoughts from Switzerland. Good luck! -Heddi

Thank you for the well wishes! I am such a goof about testing that this post went out early (I did correct it finally). The test is on Monday. I lucked out and Connie Green was able to meet me not far from the hotel, so I dropped off the kids and grandpa and met up! Poor hubby is back home in the heat
