Savvy Valentine's Day Treats

You are here: Home / Current Blog Post / Savvy Valentine's Day Treats

Gratefulfoodie Valentine's day 2016Have a safe blast this Valentine’s Day with either non-food treats, or if you are a sugar lover, then whoop it up with those too! Below is a quick and easy list of food ideas. During the next week, I’ll share our non-food fun ideas too. Both of my kids have loved Valentine’s Day since the beginning of time. We started out with heart shaped banana muffins and have progressed to many other inclusive and safe allergen savvy treats. Below is a list of online sources and items that might be found in  your grocery store.

Note: As always, call the manufacturer to confirm the food item is safe for your family and that no recipe or ingredient changes have taken place. Doing your homework is the best gift to give yourself and your family.
Allergen Savvy Valentine’s Day Treats!

  • Allermates Valentine’s Day Goodie Box. The good news is that you can order a nut free or top eight free box of goodies. The bad news is that you have to order by tomorrow! Sorry I did not share this little gem earlier! I believe you can order the regular box at any time!
  • Vermont Nut Free. If you can enjoy dairy, this is your place to find gorgeous red shaped boxes and more. Peanut-tree nut-free.
  • Divvies. Cupcakes, popcorn, chocolate candy, gift boxes, home to my favorite Benjamin Crunch Bars and more (rich chocolate with crushed peppermint). Peanut-tree nut-dairy-egg-free.
  • Premium Chocolatiers. Candy bars, truffles, heart shaped boxes and even heart-shaped chocolate lollipops! Peanut-tree-nut-dairy-egg-gluten-free.
  • Huey’s Nut Free Chocolate. Heart shaped boxes filled with chocolates, shaped angels and foiled wrapped hearts. Peanut and tree nut free.
  • Pascha Chocolate. Rich lucisous chocolate bars, minis or chocolate chips (awesome for baking). Peanut-tree nut-dairy-egg-soy-wheat-gluten free.
  • Simply Nut Free Chocolate. Beautifully crafted elegant chocolates and truffles. Peanut and tree nut free.
  • Amanda’s Own. I have a soft spot in my heart for Amanda’s since this was the first fancy shaped chocolate candy my son ever ate! Peanut-tree-nut-dairy-egg-gluten-free.
  • Surf Sweets. The seasonal fruity hearts are over the top good. Clearly a favorite in our house. Gummies, jelly beans and fruit rings (my personal fav). Peanut-tree nut-dairy-egg-soy-wheat-gluten free.
  • Yummy Earth. New red licorice, lollipops, fruit snacks, gummy bears gummy worms and candy drops. All organic with incredible flavors (I always keep a bag on hand) and can be found in grocery stores. I make Valentine’s Day crafts with these treats. Peanut-tree nut-dairy-egg-soy-wheat-gluten free.
  • Gimbals Fine Candies. These are some of our favorite jelly beans. Cinnamon Hearts, and Cherry Lovers are our Valentine’s Day favorites. These are also found in grocery stores or online.
  • Rito Conversation Hearts.  Flavorful and fun, especially when I found them at my local grocery store! Peanut-tree nut-dairy-egg-soy-wheat-gluten free.
  • Junior Mints. I found heart shaped Junior Mints with red filling in my local grocery store. Peanut and Tree Nut Free.
  • Dum Dums . A grocery store lollipop staple. Peanut-tree nut-dairy-egg-soy-wheat-gluten free.
  • Smarties. An old fashioned favorite. I find these in my grocery store, but if you order online there is a wider variety available. Peanut-tree nut-dairy-egg-soy-wheat-gluten free
  • These items are just wicked tasty sweet treats.  I wrap these in a ribbon with a heart and everyone is happy…
  • Inglorious Monk Bakery. Whoopie pie heaven is here! Peanut-tree nut-dairy-egg-soy-gluten-free and non-GMO with many organic ingredients
  • SunCups. Chocolate cups filled with caramel, mint or sunbutter (dark or milk chocolate). Peanut and tree nut free.
  • NoNuttin Bars. These bars are sweet and chewy–a really special treat. I have to order these by the box in my house or there is a war to be had. Peanut-tree nut-dairy-egg-soy-wheat-gluten free.
  • Enjoy Life Chocolate Bars. Popular dark Chocolate with two rice milk bar choices. Peanut-tree nut-dairy-egg-soy-wheat-gluten free.
  • Cybele’s Free to Eat. My daughter would hate me if I left off her favorite cookie! Top eight free with a variety of flavors!

If I missed your favorite, please add your comment and I’ll get in our list!

Disclaimer: None of the above companies mentioned know I am writing about them. I do not receive $$ from them or was ever asked to say nice things. My hope is to simply share ideas that might be fabulous or not.
