Sheer Food Allergy brilliance. This reusable bag says it all in a positive fun way: we are nut free! We’ve used these bags to pack around a tribe of stuffed animals, books and groceries–these are roomier that my current reusable bags and my kids like the message and bring colors. Each has a color coordinated pouch, so I keep two in my purse at all times. I am the person standing at the grocery store counter saying, “I’ll be right back, I left my bags in the car” or I am shoving soy milk and lettuce into my purse like a crazy lady. Disclaimer: I was not paid to write this post or to say positive things about these bags. I was lucky enough to receive three to test out and pack around Reno, NV and have decided that for 2014, these need to be my gift of year for everyone.
Doing My Homework. As I was doing research for clothing using food allergy messaging, I discovered the start-up Nut Free Wear. Within days, co-owner Jennifer somehow felt my research vibes and emailed me to introduce her company (insert music from the Twilight Zone here). Needless to say, I jumped on the phone to learn more about Nut free Wear and this creative Northern California girl (I’m one too-can we say biased?). Being a fellow food allergy mom, we had a wonderful conversation. What really impressed me was her desire to start food allergy conversations by using fun and positive messagng. Nut Free Wear also produces adorable clothing that I will blog about later this week.
Nut Freee Wear Reusable bags are a win-win in my world–they help me live more sustainably while starting sending a #Nutfree message!
