It’s hard to believe the Holidays are here, but the harsh reality in our food allergic world is that danger and risk go up during this fun and distracting time–if we are not prepared. I just read these two blogs written by Holly at Aterica, and I found them to be utterly powerful as a tool to prepare yourself and your family for good holiday cheer. Please note that the video in the second article is graphic. Disclaimer: I just met Alex, Mike and Holly of Aterica this last weekend at FABlogCon as they demonstrated the Veta™ EPI Case to me and am thrilled to share Holly’s posts. She will discover this piece at the same time you do. I was not paid to mention their company, be kind or excited about their work. It is just how I feel.
Reducing risk keeps all of us safe and healthy. Grab some coffee or tea and consider a few minutes to take a short read. I need to add that the video in the second piece is stunning and I just had my preteen and teenager watch the sobering piece. Teens think they are invincible and are at the highest of risk.

Helping Others Help You for the Holidays
I’m busy planning our Christmas Eve Dinner Alisa from Go Dairy Free. Alisa and her hubby Tony are part of our holiday traditions and since Alisa has nuts in her kitchen, she arrives early and cooks her contribution to the meal in our allergen safe kitchen. I truly appreciate her understanding and desire to keep my family safe. Besides, a glass of wine and some good old fashioned girl talk goes a long way during the Holidays!
Bravo Holly on your two well-written pieces. I look forward to reading more posts from you in the future!
