Connie Green, Co-Founder of the patient advocacy group California Advocates for Food Allergy, blessed me on Sunday afternoon with friendship, support and nut free cupcakes from Sibby’s Cupcakery. Clearly, my son’s passing of his dairy challenge is the biggest thing to hit our family in 14 years and the bonus of the test and trip and was my son being able to eat his first full fledged dairy cupcake! Her thoughtfulness in buying my family one dozen of these beautiful, gourmet cupcakes baked in a nut free facility sent my kids over the top! They have only eaten fresh bakery items from Sensitive Sweets in California. Only this community can understand what this all means and appreciates this gift of sugary love.
My daughter caught in the hotel while trying to sneak Sibby’s Cupcakery Nut Free cupcakes….
Sibby’s Cupcakery, located in San Mateo, CA does not have a store front, so Connie pre-ordered and picked them up fresh! They do offer gluten free cupcakes as well, but their facility is not gluten free. The gift was so thoughtful and meaningful. They were little handfuls of gold. I find it so interesting how life changes and what items please you. When I was in my twenties all I wanted was travel, great food and gold earrings. Now, I all I want is a mini-gourmet nut free cupcake. Doesn’t take much these days and I like it that way!
