Now, we’re a faithful Medic Alert Foundation family and have been supporters/members since 2002. BUT..there are several other options out there and I realized recently that Medical ID Marketplace offers a different type of Medical ID bracelets. Specifically, they are currently selling Celebrity Designed Medical ID bracelets that will also raise funds for the celebrity’s favorite charity! Actor Kenton Duty, from Shake It up has a food allergy bracelet being offered and Rock Star Meatloaf has an asthma bracelet design too!
The difference between these two companies is that Medic Alert provides 24 hour Emergency support; meaning you simply call the number on the bracelet, provide the ID number engraved on bracelet the Medic Alert provides emergency services with medical history, insurance data and they will actually begin making contact phone calls. The bracelet also can be engraved with allergens or asthma triggers. Medical ID Market Place provides space on the bracelet for allergens, asthma triggers, contact information, etc., to assist emergency responders.
Various celebrities designed very interesting and good looking bracelets! I was very pleased to see the diseases that we manage in our households being featured. Kenton’s, who has food allergies himself, food allergy Medical ID bracelet sales will benefit the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network. Asthmatic Meatloaf’s bracelet will benefit his favorite charity: The Painted Turtle. It was fun checking out the website and enjoying the other celebrity designs and charities. The Medical ID bracelets offered from this website in general were very diverse and they also sell medical ID key chains, luggage tags, tattoos, etc.
What type of Medical ID do you wear or use to share with others during a medical emergency that you or a loved one has food allergies or asthma? A bracelet? A patch on clothing?
FYI-I don’t receive payment for sharing product information, you get my original opinions! Remember, what appeals to me, may not work for you and what doesn’t work for me, might be exactly what you you need!
