How Does Your School Store Epi Pens? 3 Great Options are…

You are here: Home / EPI / How Does Your School Store Epi Pens? 3 Great Options are…

May 2, 2012 By //  by Caroline Moassessi Leave a Comment

I’ve seen drawers, clear School Health and plastic bags holding our life saving Epi Pens® and inhalers.  I have to say that this metal School Health I found in the School Health catalog looks worthy.  The most fabulous part: school nurses and the general public can order from this catalog!

epinephrine metal storage
Wall mounted storage and be locked or unlocked
Nothing says love more than a gift of Epi Pens® storage in my mind!  I was very excited to see this catalog and discover that I can buy from it!   School Health also offers asthma inhaler holders, other types of epinephrine holders, food allergy stickers, peak flow meters and just about anything else you can think of that a school nurse would need. I called  School Health directly and the lovely saleswoman explained that the epinephrine box could hold one Epi Pens®, but should couldn’t confirm cramming in an inhaler.  This metal storage container can hold photos too.  The item below is attractive since it can go on field trips.

This wall mount Epinephrine holder can be used for field trips too!
In this day and age of budget cuts a gift of a useful items may be truly appreciated.  One of my favorite teachers told me the other day that even though she loves gifts during teacher appreciation week, she would appreciate supplies the most since most teachers reach to their own pockets to buy items needed by students.   Even though I like to give personal gifts, I understand that it is a gift for teachers to not spend additional funds.  This inspired me to begin working on ordering some storage containers for my children’s schools.

This peak flow meter the Mini Wright is my family's favorite!
I was very excited to discover this catalog and simply wanted to share!  I hope you’ll consider a kind donation to your child’s school too, of course, after speaking to your school nurse to insure the product will appropriately meet the needs of the school.

Tools to consider for Eating Out

Eating out with Food Allergies can be quite challenging. For my family, we view eating out as a risk and we use a variety of tools to help us make educated choices.  Most importantly, if we get a gut feeling something isn’t right, we leave or my children don’t eat the item and we find safe options elsewhere...Eating out Tips - Know before you Go
