Hate to admit it..but I ate ALL of the kid's food allergy friendly Sharkies…

You are here: Home / Food Allergy Lifestyle / Hate to admit it..but I ate ALL of the kid's food allergy friendly Sharkies…

Once again, what started out simple and earnest, ended up in my belly.  A few years back I received a call from a fellow wanting our food allergy and asthma support group to test out his product.  He sent over a box of Sharkiesfruit chews, some geared towards adults with electrolytes and some towards kids.  We sampled them and liked them since the taste was flavorful and strong. But they felt a bit chewy.   Soon after we forgot about Sharkies .  UNTIL…the other day in the grocery store.  The packaging was different and most of all…they were still Organic, nut and gluten free and were not made from high fructose corn syrup!  I bought two packages for the kids telling them I would let them eat them after I take picture of the Sharkiespackage for my blog.  But..they tasted so good.  I ate them all up before I realized that the package was empty. I am thrilled to have another nut-free snack option in my pantry.  Especially one that the kids and their friends will like!

Sharkies are darling shark shaped fruit chews created for the athlete-young and old!  It is always a thrill to find something organic, dye free and made in a nut free facility.  I decided to take a picture for the blog and then decided that maybe for Halloween I would dish up little sharks in mini cake holders.  Thus requiring me to open the package up for the sake of photography and exploration.  Of course, I really needed to taste one, you know, just to make sure they still tasted good.  Oh goodness!  They were so soft and I swear the flavor was bigger than ever.  I have never eaten a fruit chew that flavorful (sorry Annie’s, I love you, but you’ve got competition)!

Somehow, while taking pictures I accidentally ate the whole package and hid the second package so I wouldn’t have to confess to eating the first package.  First thing this morning, I’m heading back to the store for more.  Let me know what you think of these if you find them in your store.
