Go Away Seasonal Allergies!

You are here: Home / Asthma - News / Go Away Seasonal Allergies!

August 11, 2014 By //  by Caroline Moassessi 2 Comments

Oh my seasonal allergies have kicked up!  My kids are suffering too, since in  Nevada we have seasonal issues 10 out of 12 months–there is always something pollinating.  In the spirit of finding something that does not make me drowsy or feeling foggy the next day, Jennifer at the Eczema Company, sent me a bottle of Allergex to test out late spring.  Traditional over the counter allergy medications like Zyrtec, do the job quickly, but then leave me foggy for a good 24 hours.  I’m a medication light weight!  I tried out the  Allergex and didn’t think much was happening.  It’s an easy to use, under the tongue homeopathic remedy.  Boy was I wrong.  It did make a difference!  Special note: My family has always used a combination of traditional Western Medication supported by homeopathic remedies and or Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).  We always follow the direction of our board certified physicians and if needed, we seek out second opinions.  We tell them if we are using homeopathic remedies  or TCM as some contradict other medications. Always check with your physician before you change or update your health care plan.  Now, that I’ve shared my special notes, back to allergy business: I was pleased to determine that yes, indeed I was finding some relief from Allergex!  I stopped taking it and lo and behold, I was congested again.  I assumed it had to due with more things pollinating.

Nevertheless, I started back up again and I’m finding the edge has been taken off.  I’m now making sure I don’t miss a daily dosing!  I think I have found my personal magic combination: I am combining the Allergex and eight hours of sleep.  I am not perfect all the time, but I’m not miserable enough to have to take over the counter anti-histamines that place me smack in the middle of foggy brain land. Also, my daughter likes using Allergex and shares that she is taking her Claritan less and less.
Discount and Disclaimer:  Disclaimer first: Jennifer did not ask me to write anything nice, but simply sent me a bottle in hopes me testing it out.  Since my results were good, I’m sharing.  It’s my personal goal to always share items that have enhanced my family’s life or to share items that maybe didn’t work out for us, but may work out for you!

The Eczema Company offering Gratefulfoodie readers a discount code too that expires at the end of August 2014:  Use GFOODIE2014 to receive $5 off any order of $30 or more!

I use several of their products that have worked well on our sensitive skins, but I’m taking a closer look their laundry products right now.  My son seems to be reacting to my current laundry products–even though I’ve been using them for years.

Thank you Eczema Company for offering Gratefulfoodie Readers a discount!

I’m a big fan of combining natural medicines alongside prescribed medicine, we use Homeopathy too, as well as Naet and Acupuncture. I will be ordering some Allergex, it sounds great xx

Have you ever considered about including a little
bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is valuable
and all. Nevertheless think about if you added some great images
or videos to give your posts more, “pop”! Your
content is excellent but with images and clips, this website could certainly be one of
the most beneficial in its niche. Terrific blog!

Tools to consider for Eating Out

Eating out with Food Allergies can be quite challenging. For my family, we view eating out as a risk and we use a variety of tools to help us make educated choices.  Most importantly, if we get a gut feeling something isn’t right, we leave or my children don’t eat the item and we find safe options elsewhere...Eating out Tips - Know before you Go
