My favorite holiday is almost here and this year I wanted to try out making juice look like a gift from culinary gods of Halloween. Of course, you can make these a tad more grown-up by using sparkling wine instead of sparkling cider! I hope these inspire you to whip up some fast, fun and affordable Halloween beverages with flavors that you create. A trip to my local Walmart, and Dollar Tree stores proved to be quite fruitful and is what helped make these a very inexpensive endeavor.
To create your own festive Halloween drinks, here is a list of supplies and ingredients:
Special note: in the spirit of spreading my dollars far, I shop the post Halloween sales for the upcoming year’s crafts and decorations and store them in a small box that is clearly labeled Halloween. If I don’t label the box, I won’t remember I have these goodies!

- Small size mason jars
- one Halloween pattern fabric swatch from Joann Fabric
- one roll of 50¢ thin black ribbon
- tall $1.00 glass from the Dollar Tree
- Martinelli’s Apple Cranberry Sparkling Juice
- Orange Juice
- Pumpkin necklace (purchased last year from Walmart, so I don’t remember the cost)
- Straws purchased in bulk from my local restaurant supply store
Prepare your drinking vessels!

- First, I hot glued a 1 inch by 9 inch strip of Halloween fabric around the middle of my mason jar.
- Next, I cut a 30 inch length of the black ribbon and looped it around the jar twice before tying the bow.
- Finally, I flattened out a Halloween themed cupcake baking cup and placed it over the jar and smoothed down the edges of the cup…

- After the edges of the cupcake cup were smoothed, I screwed back on the ring from the Mason jar.
- I then took the ring and cupcake cup off of the jar…
Now, I was ready to add my beverages and straws! To create the tall glass, I simply tied a pumpkin necklace around the glass–so easy!

- In the mason jar, I mixed 50% orange juice with 50% Martinelli’s Sparkling Apple Cranberry Cider.
- I then placed the cupcake cup back on the jar along and screwed the lid back on.
- Using a sharp paring knife, I made a small slit and pushed through a straw and served up my Food Allergy Safe Halloween Drink!
- The tall glass beverage was filled with the Martinelli’s Sparkling Juice served up with two thin Collins straws.
Even though the tall glass boasted a pumpkin necklace, my teenaged son choose that drink while my nine year old grabbed the mason jar. Everyone was happy and the cost is cheap enough that I am going to make up some Halloween drinking glasses for some of their pals.

You are wayyy more creative than I am! I love what you have made; what a great idea to have food allergy friendly Halloween Drinks. I am going to do this next year. My sons will definitely get a kick out of it. Thanks for the great idea!
