Food Allergy: Just Diagnosed?

You are here: Home / Current Blog Post / Food Allergy: Just Diagnosed?

September 23, 2015 By //  by Caroline Moassessi 3 Comments

Find food allergy SolutionsIt’s been a long time since I walked in those “just diagnosed” boots, but the flavor of that stress will never leave my mouth.  Thankfully, while the memory remains, solutions continually arrive!  The solutions available today are just fabulous!  Twenty-four seven there is online data available and I am so grateful.  We are never alone.   Below is a round-up of respected resources from around the web.  It is very important to speak to your physician before you make any changes to your child’s or your own health care protocol and planning.  Other health issues impact food allergies in unique ways.  Also, only follow advice from peer-reviewed medically vetted sources–these are tried and true.

Resources for those newly Diagnosed with food allergies:

  • Kids with Food Allergies: What Parents Need to Know-for the newly diagnosed.
  • Food Allergy Research and Education: Resources for the Newly Diagnosed.
  • Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Connection Team: Tips for the Newly Diagnosed.

All of these websites are a well full of knowledge and also offer links to local support groups.
Have fun learning and most of all: remember that you are not alone and as each day moves forward, you move closer to feeling more comfortable managing life threatening food allergies.
Disclaimer:  I am a huge fan of all the sites listed and was not paid to share their links or display of public love.

Here is another one to consider – sort of a half step between diagnosis and the resources above – http://www.allergicreactiontoolkit.com. Great resources for teens as well and everything in english and spanish.
