KOLO Eating out screen shotI have made peace with my many chins in the name of raising FOOD ALLERGY AWARENESS.  I say this since I’ve been honored and am very fortunate enough to have been invited onto my local ABC Affiliate, KOLO 8 News Now  TV in Reno, NV to go on air to discuss life with food allergies.  And, I’m chin conscious!  The more we talk about food allergies the more we’ll see funding, support and understanding.  I think the biggest hurdle we have on this journey is the constant work towards enlightening people to the severity and reality of this invisible disease that in conveniences others.  So, today is just one big day of gratitude for the kindness and forward thinking that KOLO TV is bringing to Northern Nevada.

My recent topic was Eating Out!  It was great to be able to give a shout out to Grimaldi’s Pizzeria-they don’t serve nuts and only during a special seasons in a cheesecake that is baked in a different area fill include nuts.  They worked so hard with my son’s then dairy allergy and helped create a safe and fun environment were we can take visitors and friends.  I also enjoyed sharing Allergy Eat’s Top 10 list of Allergen Friendly Chains!  You all know how much I love my Allergy Eats!  I just adore Amanda Sanchez too, she is bright, intelligent and truly committed to her community!  Nice combo to have!
Disclaimer/disclosure: I was not asked to share my favorites or to say nice things.  I just have no choice buy say nice things when our food allergy needs are met! Allergy Eats is an advertiser on this site since  fully support Paul Antico’s work and am a HUGE fan.

Happy Allergy Eating out!  In case you missed last week’s post, “Eating Out with Food Allergies Safely”.
