Contest: Win a $25 NoNuttin Gift certificate

You are here: Home / Uncategorized / Contest: Win a $25 NoNuttin Gift certificate

October 8, 2012 By //  by Caroline Moassessi Leave a Comment

I am a closeted exuberant fan of contests and now I have an avenue to host my very own contest!  Please enter Gratefulfoodie’s Food Allergy, Asthma and Good Life Contest.   All you OR your child needs to do is complete one sentence to win a $25 Food Allergy friendly NoNuttin gift Certificate.  NoNuttin’s online store offers peanut free, tree nut free, gluten-free, dairy free, egg free, sesame free, mustard free and now soy free granola bars (that are über tasty), certified gluten-free oats and granola!

Just complete this sentence:  “I am GRATEFUL for…………………………. “

I am grateful for sentence
That’s all.  The winner will have their gratitude statement published in a blog post along with their name if they choose so.

Since I might recognize email addresses, I’ve asked Nevada State Senator, Ben Kieckhefer, to be our judge.  He is a very involved father of two sets of twins (I know, don’t ask), one who has food allergies.  Ben is right up in there with the rest of us at our school nurse meetings, etc. ensuring his child will be safe at school.  Therefore, I thought he will make a fine and lovely judge!

Click on my Contest page (which is also above on the bar) to enter.

Even though life can be brutally tough and single days feel like weeks with health, work and family burdens piling high sometimes, there is always some little bright spot out there.  No matter what, I have always believed there are always little things we can find to be grateful for!
so grateful
My kids and I play the “grateful” game constantly.  It goes something like this:
[unordered_list style=”star”]

  • At a random moment in time I shout out, “I am grateful for….”
  • I finish the sentence with what ever I am grateful for at that exact moment in time.
  • For example: sometimes I am grateful for the air conditioning in the car, (back in the day, my truck did not have air conditioning)!
  • Everyone gets one or two rounds.  Sometimes the items are silly such as I am grateful for the person who invented chocolate or it can be more serious, i.e., I am grateful for my son’s sweet hugs, etc.
[/unordered_list] I hope you enter the contest so we can all enjoy reading some wonderful words of gratitude together.

I have a favor to ask you:  can you vote for me to win the Top 25 Food Allergy Mom Blogs?  We need to vote daily and there are only 10 days left in this contest.  Just click on the pink button below!

If I win, my blog will be blasted out to 6 million Circle of Mom’s readers and that would be just lovely!  Please vote and share with others to vote too!  I would appreciate it very much!

Tools to consider for Eating Out

Eating out with Food Allergies can be quite challenging. For my family, we view eating out as a risk and we use a variety of tools to help us make educated choices.  Most importantly, if we get a gut feeling something isn’t right, we leave or my children don’t eat the item and we find safe options elsewhere...Eating out Tips - Know before you Go
