Easter Chocolate, Discounts and Raising Funds: Go Vermont Nut Free!

You are here: Home / Current Blog Post / Easter Chocolate, Discounts and Raising Funds: Go Vermont Nut Free!

March 31, 2017 By //  by Caroline Moassessi Leave a Comment

Gratefulfoodie.com Vermont Nut Free Easter CandyMy excuse today to order chocolate is, “it’s for a good cause”. Today is the last day, March 31, 2017 to buy Vermont Nut Free goodies while enjoying a 10% off discount plus a portion of the donations benefiting the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Connection Team (FAACT). A triple win in my book. Now that my son has outgrown his dairy allergy, Vermont Nut Free is a peanut-treenut-free heaven! Gorgeous gift baskets and boxes of traditional chocolates, jelly beans, gummy pops and even chocolate pops are just a few of the interesting choices available. What I have always admired about Vermont Nut Free is the mainstream feel of their treats. Their Easter baskets are simply lovely and I am thrilled to order these for my children.

I love a good food allergy discount – especially when it applies to my family’s allergens!

To take advantage of the 10% discount, which ends today, use the discount code of FAACT. Your wallet and heart will smile as you stay budget savvy while also helping FAACT raise funds. Last year, my daughter and I attended the FAACT Teen summit. We both walked away stronger and most of all, my daughter was grew into a more comfortable level of living in her own skin. Being surrounded by other kids just like her was like gold – she was the norm! I wish had secretly filmed her and the little crew when they trotted off to eat dinner one night. The joy in their faces as each youth explained their allergens as they worked with the menu with the server was priceless. Of course, our beloved Chef Keith at the Southpoint Hotel Casino  and Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada, had trained his staff extensively about these young visitors and the servers handled my daughter beautifully!
I was lucky enough to enjoy the lovely Easter Box above from Vermont Nut Free to sample. Unlucky, my daughter decided she needed to taste test too. We both agreed that we had to eat the candy before Easter for the sake of “blog research”.  I vouch that the chocolate was very delicious and was a big treat! There is something goofy and magical about unwrapping a foil chocolate bunny.

Happy Food Allergy Easter Shopping (the non-food kind too)!

Disclaimer: I enjoyed sampling the Easter Candy sent over by Vermont Nut Free and was not paid by them or FAACT to say, nice, bad or meh things about them. My hope is always to share ideas or items that you might find useful, or not.

Tools to consider for Eating Out

Eating out with Food Allergies can be quite challenging. For my family, we view eating out as a risk and we use a variety of tools to help us make educated choices.  Most importantly, if we get a gut feeling something isn’t right, we leave or my children don’t eat the item and we find safe options elsewhere...Eating out Tips - Know before you Go
