Granola was a food item I tossed out years ago when my son was first diagnosed with his seed allergy. Even though he eventually outgrew his sunflower, pumpkin and flax seed allergy, it was tough to find those ingredients processed in an allergen safe facility. The beauty of this granola recipe is that you and add in chocolate or banana chips when you feel like a sweet snack or don’t mess with success and enjoy the recipe as is. I prefer to add coconut, but my kids are not coconut crazy like me. So, every other recipe I welcome the coconut to my mixing bowl.
