Alien? Monster? Left over vampire teeth from Halloween and eye super balls on a cupcake? Yup. My daughter’s soccer team, the Vampires, celebrated a season well accomplished with egg and dairy free chocolate cupcakes that were dipped in dairy free ganache and adorned with vampire teeth and goofy super balls. A kind parent gave me Vampire teeth for the girls end of season party. The challenge was to create something easy and fun. Needless to say, the kids went bonkers over these cupcakes. These were rock stars since…
- they were funny to look at
- easy to make
- had a great flavor
I enjoy volunteering to bake to insure allergy safe foods and well, I just love baking too. These were painfully easy to make and here is all it took…
The Goods:
One recipe chocolate applesauce cake
One recipe of Vegan chocolate ganache (I love this ganache…use it on everything. I actually spooned the leftovers on top of my bananas)
Two sets vampire teeth (hit those post Halloween sales folks)
Three sets of eye ball super balls (they are small, so if you are baking for wee ones, these are not a good choice)
How to make these goofy cupcakes
1. Bake chocolate cupcake recipe and let cool.
2. Open up bags of vampire teeth and balls and wash off.
3. To keep teeth closed, use paperclip to close teeth (see photo below)
4. Make ganache recipe and cool down for only around 5 minutes. The ganache should very smooth and almost liquid like.
5. Dip each cupcake into the ganache and cover the entire top of each cupcake.
6. Insert teeth and eyeballs and chill for at least
Enjoy your sea of Goofy Cupcakes…
