Oh this is just brutal. Plain brutal. The following story is regarding a teen who died on Wednesday from a food allergy action to a bite from a cookie in Walmart. I do have questions and I am sure more information will surface: was he carrying an Epi Pen at the time? Why did he eat a cookie Walmart? Was it an accident in label reading? Was the cookie mislabeled? I have many questions as I want to personally understand and learn from this horrific event. I want to learn, share and insure my kids don’t make this kind of mistake. This is my fear. I want their mistakes to be about love, life and homework!
My heart, prayers and thoughts go out to this young man’s family. It’s just brutal. We all have lost one of our food allergic family tribe members this week.
