How do I sum up a weekend of good food, great finds (the vendor exhibit was my favorite of all times), inspiring attendees and speakers, well organized and a killer swag bag? Not sure. BUT, I can say that over the last three years, FABlogCon has remained a true community event, attended by people affected by allergic or Celiac disease. This includes vendors, drug companies and food allergy parents who have chosen to dedicate their work to our world and solutions.
My biggest takeaway: the food allergy movement is just beginning and if we want to make our lives better, then we each need to play our small or big parts by supporting each other and creating one voice. Many of us have been advocating for a long time, but it is only in the last few years that we have grown into a real body of consciousness working towards education, inclusion and safety.
Over the next two weeks, I will share my highlights of the event, but today I simply want to bask in my swag bag and notes from important sessions. I was incredibly lucky to host the Allergic Living Magazine table at the Vendor Exhibit Hall and was thrilled to chat with everyone. I am so proud to be working on product reviews for Allergic Living. Apparently, though I talked way too much and lost my voice and picked up a cold from hubby along the way. So, today I sound like a frog.
Thank you for Jenny Sprague and her team: Ritesh, Keeley, Kelly, Kim, Mary Fran, Colette and Chef Keith (sorry if I missed anyone), for a well run and pleasurable event. Thank you for the food allergy, special diets and celiac community for coming together to learn, share and get silly in a photo booth! Thank you SUNBUTTER® for providing the photo booth of silliness.
