When a Black Friday Sale is About Doing the Right Food Allergy Thing

You are here: Home / Current Blog Post / When a Black Friday Sale is About Doing the Right Food Allergy Thing

Black Friday Food Allergy Combo sale GratefulfoodieAnd there you have it!
They are calling it the “Ultimate Food Allergy Combo”.  But, it really is the trifecta of food allergy awareness rolled into one ultimate Black Friday inspired deal. My beloved Allergic Living Magazine is offering the recently revised must-read food allergy book by Dr. Scott Sicherer, “Food Allergies: A Complete Guide For Eating When Your Life Depends on It”,  a two-year subscription (new or gift) plus the conversation of awareness all for only $15.00 (70% savings).

This deal is ridiculously exciting for me as it will put an important food allergy book written by a renown allergist and a magazine that investigates, explores and supports people with food allergies, into the hands of those who need it! I just checked out Dr. Sicherer’s book on amazon and it is selling for $22.95 and a regular two-year subscription costs $29.99. Can we say, BIG SALE? I think so.
My son was diagnosed almost eighteen years ago with food allergies. We were confused and lacking information. Yet today, I continually meet other people in this same exact position, which perplexes me to no end.
I shared this frustration one day with a  good friend. I could not figure out how could this be when there is so much good information available online. I thought maybe people were simply not trying to educate themselves?!
My pal pointed out that there is such an abundance of information, it is actually quite confusing. Now, this made better sense to me.
She was right. Where do people start and how do they sort out what info has been medically peer reviewed or even fact checked We had limited information way back in the day of dial-up, but it was easier to confirm if the source was credible or not.
This Ultimate Food Allergy Combo sale is one solution to the lack of valuable information problem. If you already have an Allergic Living Magazine subscription, then you can gift the subscription when you place the order. I adore sharing the gift of information!
My food allergy passion is to see parents, care givers, teachers and anyone who has someone with food allergies in their life using medically vetted resources. This sale fits my personal mission and I’m proud to share it. Clearly, this is not a big money-maker, but a worthy effort to raise awareness on so many levels.
I invite you to take advantage of this deal and share it wide and far with your family, friends and network. I love the concept that food allergies are included in the Black Friday hubbub.
Disclaimer: I am part of the Allergic Living Magazine team and I profess my undying admiration of their commitment to fact checked, responsible information sharing. I was not paid to gush. I am proud to share about this important sale.
