Ask and Ye Shall Receive Blueberry Scones

You are here: Home / Current Blog Post / Ask and Ye Shall Receive Blueberry Scones

October 5, 2016 By //  by Caroline Moassessi 2 Comments

blue-1326154_1280 from PixabayI have been a quest for the quintessential blueberry vegan scone. I have been disappointed for the last several months as I eat my way through this journey. But alas, the world has presented me with the opportunity to find blueberry bliss. While I was away attending the various Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Connection Team (FAACT) conferences in Las Vegas, NV, things were brewing (er, I mean baking) back home. My good pal, shopping, eating and baking buddy Alisa Fleming, Founder and author of the Go Dairy Free, was in the kitchen without her number one taste tester on hand. Personal sadness aside that I was not available to offer up my taste buds, it appears that she has another culinary winner on her hands.

Vegan Wild Blueberry Scones (Panera Copycat) from Go Dairy Free

The photos are stunning and I have yet to have witness any duds being shared with you all from the Go Dairy Free kitchen. Therefore, I commit to buying fresh blueberries today as I head to kitchen this evening. I do have a bit of a culinary setback as my oven is acting up, but I think I can work past it. Please share if you tried out the recipe too! I’m finding that my recipes incoporating coconut products are moister and keep fresh longer.
Happy Allergen Savvy Baking!
Disclaimer: Alisa and I both work on Allergic Living Magazine Ashots column, I source and she writes the beautiful words. I also am her self proclaimed biggest fan and best food taster. I offer up honest opinions and can also eat up any extra items floating around her kitchen too, while promising witty and charming company.

Tools to consider for Eating Out

Eating out with Food Allergies can be quite challenging. For my family, we view eating out as a risk and we use a variety of tools to help us make educated choices.  Most importantly, if we get a gut feeling something isn’t right, we leave or my children don’t eat the item and we find safe options elsewhere...Eating out Tips - Know before you Go
