A peanut free Easter

You are here: Home / Food Allergy Lifestyle / A peanut free Easter

March 26, 2012 By //  by Caroline Moassessi 1 Comment

It is humanly possible and down right fun quite honestly!  Yes, I bid farewell to my beloved Reese’s Easter Eggs and I’ve never looked back.  There are just far too many yummy things to eat out there to never feel deprived.  Below is a fast down and dirty peanut free list of Easter Candy.  Please note:  Today, the Divvies $5.99 flat shipping ends!  Their Divvies are extremely worthy and should possibly be worshiped.

..the Peep basket
My dad, who lives with us, came home from the grocery store with Peeps today!  I had no choice but make a copy of what my pal creates every year for our Easter party at church….Wendy really is our own local Martha Stewart when it comes to throwing a party and creating the best party favors in town!  Look at how painfully cute these Peeps are!

Nothing says LOVE like a big stuff animal too!  Don’t forget that fun toys, stuffed animals, video games, etc., make for great Easter Treats too!!!  For years, my kids had Easter baskets stuff with toys!

Please Note: Always double check with the manufacturer that the item you are purchasing is still safe and there have been no recipe or manufacturing changes!

Cool lists of food allergy friendly peanut/tree nut free treats…

Snack Safely–For a very valuable list of snacks (most can be purchased  the grocery store),  that DO NOT CONTAIN peanuts, tree nuts or eggs, visit this site and down load their recent lists before you go shopping!
Bay Area Allergy Advisory board Peanut and Tree Nut free Candy list–Posted this list of peanut and  tree nut free candies in 2011. I’m sure several items are still on the market!  They list items like Junior Mints, DumDums, etc.

Websites that offer fantastic peanut and tree nut free Easter treats…

Amanda’s Own Confections -HUGE assortment of Easter Bunnies, chocolate lollipops (you can even purchase Passover chocolate lollipops), chocolate Easter bars and medallions, plus jelly beans.
Peeps – Need I say more?
Peanut Free Sweet Tooth – Offers a full selection from many food allergy friendly manufacturers but most of all…they offer a pre-made Food Allergy friendly Easter Basket!  I just found out they can custom make Easter Baskets to find your food allergy needs!  Sweet–pun intended!
Peanut Free Planet-These folks offer a HUGE variety of peanut free treats, ingredients, you name it!
Divvies – Choose chocolate bunnies or jelly beans for Easter, but I love those Bingo bars and would go for those myself!  FLAT RATE shipping of $5.99 ends TODAY, MONDAY, March 26th, 2012.

Vermont Nut Free – My family can’t enjoy these treats since most contain dairy, but they offer a big assortment of chocolate bunnies, lollipops and gift baskets that get rave reviews!
No Nuttin–The absolutely best peanut, tree nut, dairy, sesame seed, egg and gluten free granola bars on the planet.  Side bar: NoNuttin is beginning their process of removing soy from the factory!
Indie Candy – Thankfully, a reader shared this “late entry” onto my blog.  Their products are free of the eight major allergens, natural–no funky dyes and their gelatin is even Kosher!  I found chocolate bunnies, lollipops and watermelon gummy bunnies on their site.  Looks like another winner.
Surf Sweets – These gummy candies and jelly beans would be great to add to your own Easter Basket or fill up plastic eggs!  Their products are free of the eight major allergens (wheat, dairy, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, fish and shellfish).
Gimbals – Jelly Beans and Candies!  These are just beloved staples in our household and fill plastic eggs quite well.  We love combining the flavors to create interesting taste recipes.  Once again, it doesn’t take much to make us happy.

Have fun shopping for Safe Food Allergy Friendly Easter Treats!!

I love you, and want to have your children. In 5 miuntes you got to the heart of a problem I’ve been trying (on and off, admittedly) to solve for MONTHS. All along I thought my shoddy knowledge of CSS3 was to blame. Thanks
